Laminate earns its keep in busy houses. With basic care it holds its looks for years, cleans up with a sweep and the odd mop, and takes heavy traffic without showing the wear.
The style range is wide — convincing oak, tile and stone looks at a fraction of the cost. One honest note: laminate isn't the pick for high-moisture rooms like baths and laundries, and we'll tell you when another floor fits better.

Laminate — common questions
How does laminate compare to other floors?
It's more affordable than hardwood or stone while mimicking their look, and it's often easier to install. It also tends to resist scratches and dents well, which makes it a durable choice for high-traffic areas.
Is laminate suitable for every room?
Most of them. It's excellent in living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and dining rooms. We steer away from rooms with excessive moisture — like bathrooms and laundry rooms — where water can cause damage over time.
How do I keep laminate clean?
Regular sweeping or vacuuming, plus a damp mop with a mild cleaner for deeper cleans. Skip abrasive cleaners and standing water, and wipe up spills promptly so moisture doesn't reach the seams.
